Have students select the task or skill they wish to work on based on their student data – this can be directed by you, or something of their choosing. Then, set a check-in schedule (everyday, every few days, weekly), mark the date, and place an X in the box that is true for them on that date. The goal being that each time they place a date and an X, that they will place there X further to the right providing them with a visual of their learning and progress.
